This policy applies to the Learner Driver web site, ("Learner Driver"). The policy
explains how Learner Driver uses personal information collected through the Learner
Driver web site.

What kind of personal information Learner Driver collects
and how it is collected
Learner Driver collects personal information from a variety of sources, including
from members of the public, advertisers, mailing lists, contractors and business

In general, the personal information Learner Driver collects includes (but is not
limited to) name, address, contact details, gender and occupation.
Personal Information you provide: We store the personal information you enter
on the Learner Driver or give to Learner Driver in other ways. We obtain most personal
information through the Learner Driver membership registration process and updates
to membership details. You may provide information when you request or acquire a
product or service from Learner Driver, provide a product or service to Learner
Driver, complete a survey or questionnaire, enter a competition, participate in
forums or when you communicate with Learner Driver by e-mail, telephone or in writing
(for example if you contact customer service or provide feedback).
Automatic collection: Cookies: We may use a feature of your browser called
a cookie to assign your computer a 'User ID'. Cookies do not contain information
by which Learner Driver can identify you. They identify your computer to our servers.

Indirect collection: Learner Driver endeavours to collect personal information
about an individual only from that individual. In some circumstances Learner Driver
may obtain personal information from a third party. If you provide personal information
about another person to Learner Driver, Learner Driver requires that you inform
that person you have done so and provide them with a copy of this policy.
How Learner Driver uses the information you provide
Learner Driver may use information it collects from you for the primary purpose
for which it is collected and for such other secondary purposes that are related
to the primary purpose of collection.

Learner Driver.com.au ('Learner Driver') collects personal information about users,
merchants, advertisers and other businesses, which access or are displayed on the
Learner Driver site. Information about businesses that appear in the Learner Driver
directory, including personal information on individuals within those businesses,
is generally collected by Learner Driver to manage the services or products that
the business purchases from Learner Driver. Learner Driver may also disclose personal
information about businesses that appear in the Learner Driver directory to third
parties, including advertisers, business partners and information brokers.
If you contact a merchant appearing in the Learner Driver directory, including via
e-mail, this policy does not apply to such communications and Learner Driver accepts
no responsibility for any transaction entered into between you and the relevant
merchant.
How Learner Driver treats sensitive information
"Sensitive Information" means information relating to a person's racial or
ethnic origin, membership of political bodies, religion, membership of a trade union
or professional or trade association, sexual preferences, criminal record and health.
Learner Driver may use and disclose Sensitive Information only for the purpose for
which it was provided or a directly related secondary purpose or as allowed by law
unless you have agreed otherwise.
Management and security of personal information
Learner Driver has appointed a Privacy Officer to oversee Learner Driver's management
of personal information in accordance with this policy and the Commonwealth Privacy
Act.
Learner Driver protects the personal information Learner Driver holds from misuse,
loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by various means including
firewalls, pass word access, secure servers and encryption of credit card transactions.
Updating personal information
Learner Driver endeavours to ensure that the personal information it holds is accurate,
complete and up-to-date. You can update your Learner Driver membership information
via the 'Members Update your details' section within the Learner Driver site.
You can generally update personal information that is not membership information
on the website of Learner Driver where you submitted that information. Otherwise,
please contact Learner Driver on privacy@learnerdriver.com.au.
Where personal information is no longer required by Learner Driver, it will be destroyed
or de-identified.
Seeking access to the personal information Learner Driver holds
about you
You have the right to seek access the personal information held about you and to
advise Learner Driver of any inaccuracy. There are some exceptions to this right
set out in the Privacy Act.
If you make an access request, Learner Driver will ask you to verify your identity
and specify what information you require. Learner Driver may charge a fee to cover
the costs of meeting your request.
Membership information: Learner Driver Members can access the membership
information Learner Driver holds about them at any time via the 'Member Update your
details' section within the Learner Driver site.
